Annelise's 5 year post

Annelise went for her 5 year check-up last week. Here are her stats:

Height: 43 3/4 inches (75%)

Weight: 40 pounds (50%)

She is a skinny little beanpole. It is so cute how she doesn't understand the concept of time. When we are at the park I will tell her that she has 5 more minutes to play. She says she would like 11 seconds more. She says that for everything :) Also, when she is talking about something in the past she usually says last year even though it was more likely last week or last month.

She has taken two swimming courses this year. This summer she did a prechool program since she was not yet 5. She did very well in that class but was not technically swimming. During the rest of the summer she taught herself to swim underwater. Once she turned 5 she took another swimming course for age 5 and up. She passed level one of swimming with flying colors. During the last class they made them swim from middle of pool to edge of the pool. I am so proud of my little swimmer!

Annelise is going to preschool 5 mornings and week and loving it! She loves to write all the time. She asks how every word is spelled and then writes it down. Last week I found that she had copied a page out of Nurse Nancy. She also read a word this month! She was working on her sticker book with daddy and read the word SPOT!!! Annelise is doing so well this year and I can't wait to see how well she will be doing at the end of the school year :)
