New Chew Toy

I found this strange looking white-tube-thing in my house yesterday but I didn't know what it was for so I just laid it on the floor. Then tonight my mommy showed me what to do with it. If you blow in one end it makes a high-pitched noise. So naturally I wailed away on it. I heard my mommy and daddy call it a "recorder". I guess my daddy used to play this as an instrument when he was younger and it drove his family crazy (although I've heard him play it and he sounds pretty good). Anyway, Dad, you know what they say: payback is heck! Enjoy my tooting (lol) from now on and reap what you have sown! Bwahaha...

Anyway, the noise is actually a bonus for me because this thing is a great chew toy. I think my bottom teeth are getting a little bigger, maybe because I'm cutting some new teeth in the back. I can't stop drooling and that's usually a sign that my mouth is changing... ouch! Will it ever stop?! I got drool all over this "recorder" so that should keep daddy away from it for a while.

Hi Sweetheart,

As soon as you can learn how to play the recorder, you should practice it all the time, just like your daddy did. When he got really good at it, I actually enjoyed listening to him play.

Have fun learning!

Love you whole bunches,
G.G.

We had flutes in our house too, but they didn't tend to last long.
Make some beautiful music!

And that chocolate syrup looked so fun!

We have a little flute from the American Indian festival and I have to admit to hiding it every once in a while for a little peace. Sometimes I still wonder why I showed Kylea how to play it, but she sure loves it!

Oh my goodness! Hunter and Hannah each got recorders as party favors a few months ago. Needless to say, they didn't last long in our house.
